Gawler Districts Poultry Fanciers Association

Please bring a salad to share and An item for our fundraising raffle held at 12pm would be appreciated. 

All shows: birds need to be penned by 9.45am

Hot Weather Policy: Show will be cancelled if the scheduled show day is to be 33C or over via Bureau of Meteorology for Elizabeth the night prior. 

2025 Programme at SAPA

Sunday April 27th

1st qualifying show Featuring rare breeds of hard and soft feathered fowls 

Sunday May 25th

2nd qualifying show Featuring rare breeds of waterfowl and field and forest breeds and Juniors all breeds

Sunday June 22nd

Sale 

Sellers pen birds from 8am $1 per bird. Buyers from 9am

Sunday July 27th

Annual Show and 3rd qualifying show incorporating the South Australian Waterfowl Club

Please send all entries on the official entry from to the Convenor 

Entry Closing date for ANNUAL Show is the 13th of July

About Us

Visitors most welcome where information is freely available & shared  after penning & anyone interested in joining our club, please contact the Secretary. 

Aggregate points are awarded for paid members of the club who show at a minimum of 2 of the 3 qualifying shows.  

In Open a class must have a minimum of 2 birds of the same colour in each breed, age class & sex.   


Junior classes: juniors must pen their own bird (they can have some assistance if needed). 

Juniors must not have the same breed as adults showing in the same show

Membership/Fees

  • Family - $20
  • Concession Card holder $12
  • Single - $15
  • Junior - $7 (U/16) 


  • Lunch provided: $8 adults & $4 for children under 9 
  • A $5 exhibitor fee will be charged by the Real Property Committee to be collected by the club
